Srinivasa Ramanujan House, Kumbakonam
The famous Indian mathematics genius Srinivasa Ramanujan (1887-1920) lived with his parents on Sarangapani Street in Kumbakonam. He made substantial contributions to the analytical theory of numbers and worked on elliptic functions, continued fractions, and infinite series.
Ramanujan was born on Dec 22, 1887 in his grandmotherís house at Erode. His father worked as a clerk in a cloth shop and his mother was a housewife. He was completed his School and College education in Kumbakonam.
Touristers should be visited his home when come to Kumbakonam. This is one of the most important tourist attraction places.
Adi Kumbeswarar Temple
Adi Kumbeswarar Temple is an ancient Hindu temple to dedicated God Shiva located at Kumbakonam.The biggest festival of Mahamaham (12 years once) is associated with this temple.
